Palm Springs Cultural Center Fire
We want to say a quick word about the recent fire at our beloved Palm Springs Cultural Center home.
There was much damage to the kitchen area, which is right next to our theater, but thankfully Theater 3 survived with light water and smoke damage. That said, we need to replace our drapes, curtains and the all seats to get rid of the smell. The fire department did an amazing job putting out the fire and protecting the theaters. Though the Cultural Center has a lot of repairs to contend with and needs all the support we can give them, we are confident that our theater home will be ready for the opening night of CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF on October 9th with a new face lift! We are so lucky the damage wasn’t worse. The fire was frightening, but it has also highlighted how vitally important the Cultural Center is to our community.
The Bent exists because of the kindness and support the Cultural Center gave us when we were first starting out, but mostly we exist because of and for… YOU! Thank you for supporting the arts! Thank you for supporting The Bent with your subscription!
